Bus Addendum

When I tell people I have absolutely no interest in having children, ever, for any reason, they occasionally give me a look I have come to recognise should be interpreted as meaning: "Ah, now, you'll change your mind when the right man comes along".

My decision was given new strength on the bus home today, however, when a small boy in a pushchair took a liking to me.

He was happily playing peek-a-boo with me, giggling away as he grabbed my trousers and tried to copy my crossed eyes. He was a cheeky chappy and highly appreciative as I went through my repertoire of baby-amusing techniques.

Having run out of new ideas, I got bored and stared out of the window.

It cried.

Oh you will, YOU WILL.

She won't cry though, she'll torture your very soul by sauntering around with tears in her eyes, no sound coming out and just looking forlorn and lost.

You're upset already, aren't you?

Upset... but NOT BORED

Bless her little soul :(

i completly support your decision and if you ever waver, come see me and i shall plant you back on the side of righeousness and turn you against the dirty little feckers!!!
am thinking of selling my 5 into the slave trade (actually it would only be 3 i'd sell, river is far too useful - can make tea and stuff - and beau is sweet and nice and seen how not to act ;o) ).

It is too late for me to have children, but I love being an aunt. They are good and well-behaved for me. Why? Because I bribe them!

And I give them back if they cry.

I do quite like the idea of having children to teach the art of tea-making to, it would be very handy on lazy days. I am a realist, however, and suspect my plan to never lift a finger ever again would be swiftly foiled.

W*P*D you've got the right idea, if you can give them back they're not nearly as daunting!

borrow mine anytime for teamaking, river can even manage good toast and not a bad bacon butty (he hasnt got the right amount of sauce sorted yet, but give him time!) eden on the other hand BAKES!! but on the down side she does pull a mean cat bum face, chase does a job right when you want it done the first time.
take ya pick :o)
i maybe hard to find when returning them tho!!

as for the other 2, sparky picks his bum and smells his fingers and beau likes everyone to be her slave, so you wont want them ;o)

Right, and if you waver again, come stay at my house overnight. I can cure you of ANY want to have kids. :P

You see?? LOL I'd be a terrible mother! I only like them when they're not my responsibility!

LOL That's how I feel about OTHER people's kids. I like my own. :P
